I take full responsibility 2

I take full responsibility
For the rhymes I have wrought
I take myself a kind of poet
Puerilistic whimsy I’m sure I’ve got
There really is no cure
For such an unrepentant rhymer
I’ve done all the pertinent therapies
From aerobics to rock climber
Oh my poor readers
Numbering in the ones
Thundering perplexity
At such pale lithic puns
Nothing soars or uplifts
Nor reaps the tender pause
I’d rather break secrets
Like how I met Santa Claus!
So it really is my fault
I’ve brought your eyes to bear
To amble aimlessly about
Getting just to a Smiling Nowhere

About Kitt

Sometimes a rhyme or couplet wanders across my consciousness. So, I share it. Other times I'm a hospice social worker; others, a Dad; others, southerner, New Orleanian, cajun enthusiast, voter, and on better days, a not-too-awful-poet/rhymster. Welcome to my page. Enjoy.
