Litter Box

There’s something disagreeable in the litter box
Oh yes it is your turn
Shouldn’t have fed Fluffy those Fritos
When will you kids ever learn

There’s nothing discernable in your wry look
Oh yes it is my turn
Should take more time for those long hugs
Oh when will we ever learn

There’s everything doable for Mother Earth
Oh yes it is our turn
Should always retrieve trash and litter
When will people ever learn

There’s one more thing that’s learnable
Oh yes it is their turn
Should find the Wonder in everything
And Love will forever burn

There’s something disagreeable in the litter box
Oh yes it is your turn
Stop feeding Princess those Pringles
When will you kids ever learn

About Kitt

Sometimes a rhyme or couplet wanders across my consciousness. So, I share it. Other times I'm a hospice social worker; others, a Dad; others, southerner, New Orleanian, cajun enthusiast, voter, and on better days, a not-too-awful-poet/rhymster. Welcome to my page. Enjoy.
