Acacia

Can a crow find serenity
Perched atop an acacia tree

Does patience descend from on high
Or does it grow by-the-by

Has joy bounced itself across the room
Chasing dust bunnies with a broken broom

Do aged joints beg to run
As ease-of-being looks for fun

Please be happy, healthy, safe, and free
Even perched atop an acacia tree

About Kitt

Sometimes a rhyme or couplet wanders across my consciousness. So, I share it. Other times I'm a hospice social worker; others, a Dad; others, southerner, New Orleanian, cajun enthusiast, voter, and on better days, a not-too-awful-poet/rhymster. Welcome to my page. Enjoy.
