Departure

Everyone’s always leaving
Everyone’s got to go
You shouldn’t be surprised
It’s something you should know

Just when you thought you’d be happy
Just when something starts to grow
Sorry, but they must be leaving
Sorry, but they really have to go

Sunrises all lead to sunsets
Parties end with dirty dishes
Begin with accepting the finish
It cares not for any of your wishes

Everyone’s always leaving
And now it’s time for me to go
A memory will always be young
Leave it to Love to keep it ever so

About Kitt

Sometimes a rhyme or couplet wanders across my consciousness. So, I share it. Other times I'm a hospice social worker; others, a Dad; others, southerner, New Orleanian, cajun enthusiast, voter, and on better days, a not-too-awful-poet/rhymster. Welcome to my page. Enjoy.
