You Otter Know

There was a silly man
Who gave a silly speech
About chasing a wayward frisbee
Down a public beach
There was lots and lots of sand
And lots of puzzled faces
But chasing that durn frisbee
Sure put him thru his paces
The wind cut every which way
Then sent the disk to the water
The silly man dove in after it
And encountered a rather miffed otter
Begging the wet otter’s pardon
The silly man retrieved the frisbee
Then returned the disk to his girlfriend
Before getting down on one knee
Her eyes got big as saucers
But she was far from any distress
But there again went the frisbee
Held aloft by her YES YES YES!
There was lots and lots of sand
And lots of happy clapping faces
But chasing that durn frisbee again
Was prep for looming marital paces
But one person really liked the part about the otter
That would be the couple’s now giggling 5 year old daughter

About Kitt

Sometimes a rhyme or couplet wanders across my consciousness. So, I share it. Other times I'm a hospice social worker; others, a Dad; others, southerner, New Orleanian, cajun enthusiast, voter, and on better days, a not-too-awful-poet/rhymster. Welcome to my page. Enjoy.
