One Blue Moon

In my dreams
When we were wed
We were happy
All passions fed
Skies were blue
Temperatures mild
All was peaches easy
Maybe planning a child
Then I’d awake
Of course you’d gone
In the still of the morning
I defined alone
Every so often
Once in a blue moon
I’d see you around
And try not to swoon
Maybe you’d wave
Or offer a smile
Always quite friendly
As you’d go jog your mile
Maybe some fine day
With courage for my feet
I’ll knock on your door
Just across the street
But just for now
And it’s never too soon
I’ll catch that glimpse of you
Once in a blue moon

About Kitt

Sometimes a rhyme or couplet wanders across my consciousness. So, I share it. Other times I'm a hospice social worker; others, a Dad; others, southerner, New Orleanian, cajun enthusiast, voter, and on better days, a not-too-awful-poet/rhymster. Welcome to my page. Enjoy.
