Patience

Help my poor puppet
Again tied up in knots
Negativity personified
Kinked strings by the lots

Arms crossed by the legs
Mustache by left ankle
Cascading Slinky chortles
Certainly do tend to rankle

Oh please don’t use scissors
It’s patience that you need
To free Pepe the Puppet
Forget all about speed

Slowly it all gets better
Legs are now below arms
Kinks only in the twisted hair
As the painted smile now charms

Thanks for freeing my puppet
For you a special show
Dancing skipping and great hops
For the man in the front row

Show’s over and it’s time for bed
Puppermaster will sleep tight
Knowing her 5&Dime puppet’s strings
Are now all straight and all right

About Kitt

Sometimes a rhyme or couplet wanders across my consciousness. So, I share it. Other times I'm a hospice social worker; others, a Dad; others, southerner, New Orleanian, cajun enthusiast, voter, and on better days, a not-too-awful-poet/rhymster. Welcome to my page. Enjoy.
