Trick Or Treat!
With a shriek from the grave
The black cat jumped back
As the orange balled-up paper
Passed up on a feline attack
The wind howled its lowly trill
Shaking the Spanish moss above
The pale ghost on the widow’s walk
Kept vigil for her e’er long lost love
Caped crusaders, goblins, and monsters
Tore through the darkened neighborhood
Demanding their righteous fair tribute
Tis better be candy! That is understood!
Around again that crumpled orange paper
Causing quite the October fright
The fair bloodied gypsy in Nike’s opened it:
Dance! At the gym this Happy Halloween Tonight!
Trick or Treat!
