Never Happened

It never happened
It never even was
Now they’re happily married
And there’s the why of that because

But we how danced and how we spun
I thought I found my one true other
But she was with the guitar man
Who was like my own true brother

What a cruel twist
What a foul turn
Hope they’re happy forever
I guess one does live and learn

So I’ll keep looking
For my one true mate
Hope I can be ever so clever
Though now it’s getting kind of late

About Kitt

Sometimes a rhyme or couplet wanders across my consciousness. So, I share it. Other times I'm a hospice social worker; others, a Dad; others, southerner, New Orleanian, cajun enthusiast, voter, and on better days, a not-too-awful-poet/rhymster. Welcome to my page. Enjoy.
