A Calling

Some voters are red
Some voters are blue
Asking: “Where is my precinct?”
Fretting about what should they do
I opened my databases
Putting me in the know
Finding their precinct
Then told them where to go
Now I’ve worked in a call center
Spending 14 hours in one chair
The path to the bottom line
Sometimes requires a strong derriere
Some voters lean to the left
Some voters lean to the right
Hope the winner lives up to the hype
But I’m dogged tired. See ya; Goodnight.

About Kitt

Sometimes a rhyme or couplet wanders across my consciousness. So, I share it. Other times I'm a hospice social worker; others, a Dad; others, southerner, New Orleanian, cajun enthusiast, voter, and on better days, a not-too-awful-poet/rhymster. Welcome to my page. Enjoy.
