Thunderstorms on Christmas

Thunderstorms on Christmas
Go ahead, ask me if I care
We will be all together
Go on, and rain if you dare
Rain with its attendant pyrotechnics
Don’t to me mean a thing
Family and presents and holiday cheer
Will block out any of Inclement’s sting
Yeah, I’ll go get Aunt MaryLee
And shuttle over all her stuff too
It’s just another Merry Christmas
And twill be a Happy New Year–Wa-hoo!
Thunderstorms for the 25th
That’s what the weatherman all say
Just get me a towel and some mistletoe
And it’ll be all a-okay
Fa-la-la-la-la-la-la-la-lah!

About Kitt

Sometimes a rhyme or couplet wanders across my consciousness. So, I share it. Other times I'm a hospice social worker; others, a Dad; others, southerner, New Orleanian, cajun enthusiast, voter, and on better days, a not-too-awful-poet/rhymster. Welcome to my page. Enjoy.
