Meow

Sustaining dreams fade to gray.
Today there’ll be no getting away.
No hugs of love linger to share.
We all know Life’s not fair.
A purring cat in quiet reposes.
It’ll be fine, one oft supposes.
The sun enclouded still manages to warm.
I wish you luck and safe from harm.
Tomorrow’s a promise that’s always kept.
Be thou happy with smile upswept.
Here our tabby meows for his chow.
It’s all good, goodbye for now.

About Kitt

Sometimes a rhyme or couplet wanders across my consciousness. So, I share it. Other times I'm a hospice social worker; others, a Dad; others, southerner, New Orleanian, cajun enthusiast, voter, and on better days, a not-too-awful-poet/rhymster. Welcome to my page. Enjoy.
