Spurious lassies,
On the prowl,
Looking for laddies
By the trowel.
Songs they yipp;
Seldon offkey.
Just ‘do ya wanna
Run with me?’
Before you know-
Puppies by the pound,
Napping with momma
Without making a sound.
Up they grow
Chasing rabbits and squirrels;
Caring not a bark
About hogs before pearls.
Then, more spurious lassies
Straining at the leash,
But they don’t care–
Cuz life’s a beach.

‘spurious lassies’ stolen from
Carolyn at LPTM on 9/20/2013…great Table Topic phrase!

About Kitt

Sometimes a rhyme or couplet wanders across my consciousness. So, I share it. Other times I'm a hospice social worker; others, a Dad; others, southerner, New Orleanian, cajun enthusiast, voter, and on better days, a not-too-awful-poet/rhymster. Welcome to my page. Enjoy.
