Last Stand Lately

As expected my life bled to beige
Grey and wan I thumbed the page
Walked away from a love forever
Hiding a hurt with words half clever
Tony girl now homely woman
Finds no shame that would rouge a roman
Inappropriate, we seek to answer
The loneliness that wastes like cancer
No poet’s call will give you peace
Tell the truth and get off your knees

About Kitt

Sometimes a rhyme or couplet wanders across my consciousness. So, I share it. Other times I'm a hospice social worker; others, a Dad; others, southerner, New Orleanian, cajun enthusiast, voter, and on better days, a not-too-awful-poet/rhymster. Welcome to my page. Enjoy.
