Happy Birthday Bonnie!

Twas a like golden morning sunrise,
That took me back to thoughts of you
Of that first early time I realized
There was a lacking in our sky of blue.
Like the night without a Moon,
Or a whole year without a June,
We might as well be a volunteer goner,
If the whole wild world had no Bonnie Connor.
Yet there rises a fresh gold Sun
And things are as they should—
Happy, Happy Birthday, Dear Bonnie!
You make our lives complete, warm, and good!

About Kitt

Sometimes a rhyme or couplet wanders across my consciousness. So, I share it. Other times I'm a hospice social worker; others, a Dad; others, southerner, New Orleanian, cajun enthusiast, voter, and on better days, a not-too-awful-poet/rhymster. Welcome to my page. Enjoy.
