A Blue Path To Yes

Let us lie where the bluebonnets grow—
They’ll wreathe us in blue, from head to toe.
Come out! Come out! Look at that hill!
Flowers for everyone, our hearts they fill.

Let me lay you down where the bluebonnets grow—
What my heart will learn my eyes already know:
That you are meant to be with me for the balance of time
Find the shortest path to yes and say you’ll be mine!

Our love will grow as the bluebonnets do—
Forgiving past chills with Spring’s turn on ‘I love you!’

About Kitt

Sometimes a rhyme or couplet wanders across my consciousness. So, I share it. Other times I'm a hospice social worker; others, a Dad; others, southerner, New Orleanian, cajun enthusiast, voter, and on better days, a not-too-awful-poet/rhymster. Welcome to my page. Enjoy.
