Pamela Penelope Umptyscrunch
Once came over to play
Scrabble and ping pong
Fun all the day long
Stopping only for a bit of lunch

Pamela Penelope Umptyscrunch
Never has much to say
Hemming and hawing
Thoughts left gnawing
Ideas unsaid by the bunch

Pamela Penelope Umptyscrunch
Said she’d like to stay
To sleep in the upper bunk
Her jammies in a steamer truck
Hair held up in an old pink crunch

Pamela Penelope Umptyscrunch
Is the best at a birthday
Presents by the score
You couldn’t possibly want more
Except another glass of her special punch

Pamela Penelope Umptyscrunch
Is my best friend in the world
Her heart is THIS BIG round
Giving huggies by the pound
I wouldn’t trade her on a hunch

About Kitt

Sometimes a rhyme or couplet wanders across my consciousness. So, I share it. Other times I'm a hospice social worker; others, a Dad; others, southerner, New Orleanian, cajun enthusiast, voter, and on better days, a not-too-awful-poet/rhymster. Welcome to my page. Enjoy.
