Easter ’14

There is this time when we are;
There’ll be a time when we are no more;
And how we account for ourselves
Is measured when we go out the door.
Splendid in the day,
We try to do our best;
Confident to return home
That we have passed the test:
To love our neighbor as we love our self,
Won’t be just some old potion
Pulled off our pantry shelf.
Because some may want to follow ‘what would Jesus do’,
At least I can try: Oh, and Happy Easter too!

About Kitt

Sometimes a rhyme or couplet wanders across my consciousness. So, I share it. Other times I'm a hospice social worker; others, a Dad; others, southerner, New Orleanian, cajun enthusiast, voter, and on better days, a not-too-awful-poet/rhymster. Welcome to my page. Enjoy.
