Cautiously approaching an awakening,
Graced with the power of a dream,
To explore the edge of Reason—
Are All always as they seem?
The man folds the laundry
As two white pups dissemble
While the view of a Columbia lake
Can set the pure heart atremble.
But look, now, high aloft:
A Mistress of the Word!
Plummed in multicolour:
The quite lovely shawnel bird.
Oh, what keeps you so high:
Deep thought, simple love, keen insight?
Already on order from the Amazon
English books to set me right.
And, thank you for your visits,
Coming from across the miles:
This from your humble poet
Hiding in the pueriles.

About Kitt

Sometimes a rhyme or couplet wanders across my consciousness. So, I share it. Other times I'm a hospice social worker; others, a Dad; others, southerner, New Orleanian, cajun enthusiast, voter, and on better days, a not-too-awful-poet/rhymster. Welcome to my page. Enjoy.
