Wanna Cajun
Words jumble, words tumble;
Words spill out all over my page
The weekend has at last arrived!
Time to give vent to a little rage.
Want to dance, want to cajun;
Steppin flip-flop, then spin all over the stage.
Had you seen you had had more time
You’d see you always had the key to your cage.
Type a backspace, insert a dele;
Put the stereo [Yes, Beatles] on thirteen;
Another holiday weekend for us;
Not all of my thoughts are that obscene.
Eyes glance, cheeks blush:
Oh, how young love will salivate!
Words jumble, words fumble;
Come on, sweetie, let’s advocate:
Love jumbles, Love tumbles;
Love spills out all over at this stage.
The holiday weekend has at last arrived;
Time, young lovers, to turn the page—
Smartly!
