I Think She’s ‘Active’

Nora’s gone.
What’re you telling me?
Nora’s gone?
That can’t be!

She’s my boss:
I have so very much yet to learn;
She’s the boss,
How do you survive a DON’s glaring burn?

Nora’s gone.
What’re you telling me?
Nora’s gone?
That can’t be!

DPCS departed,
Replacement will take an infantry!
DPCS departed,
OK, I’ll sign her card of sympathy….

Nora’s gone.
Who’ll do triage?
Nora’s gone.
Well d*mn! Bon Voyage!

About Kitt

Sometimes a rhyme or couplet wanders across my consciousness. So, I share it. Other times I'm a hospice social worker; others, a Dad; others, southerner, New Orleanian, cajun enthusiast, voter, and on better days, a not-too-awful-poet/rhymster. Welcome to my page. Enjoy.
