A Risk Of Chalk Dust

826AM Saturday morn
Another weekend softly born
Watch college games with points scored
With what chalk to scribble words on a blackboard

826PM Sunday late
Passes a weekend not so great
Thoughts remain a whisper we can afford
Something still remains after erasing words on a blackboard

826AM Monday starts
Another workweek to play our parts
Craving for Friday whether a lady or a lord
A six year old child happily adds her words on a blackboard

826PM any day late
Risking the abyss is everybody’s fate
Mend the wings of all birds wouldn’t be untoward
How does one add their name to words on a blackboard

About Kitt

Sometimes a rhyme or couplet wanders across my consciousness. So, I share it. Other times I'm a hospice social worker; others, a Dad; others, southerner, New Orleanian, cajun enthusiast, voter, and on better days, a not-too-awful-poet/rhymster. Welcome to my page. Enjoy.
